Amido, a vendor-agnostic technical consultancy specialising in cloud transformation and data engineering, has ranked number 26 in the UK’s Best Workplaces for 2019 under the medium category, alongside 132 other UK organisations.

Last year Amido was ranked number 50 in the same category, alongside a number 16 ranking for the UK’s Best Workplaces in IT – medium category.

Recognised by its’ employees as an organisation that promotes a healthy workplace culture, Amido continues to commit to the development and wellbeing of its’ employees with a dedicated training budget of £2000 per employee, as well as monthly and quarterly events including Lunch & Learns, off-site company days and company socials.

Alan Walsh, CEO of Amido commented:

“We take tremendous pride in investing in our people, their wellbeing and future skill progression. One of our core values as a company is to put ‘people- first’ as they are at the heart of everything we do. With a rise of 26 places from last year’s ranking, we have demonstrated our continued dedication to nurturing our employees and creating an environment in which they can flourish.”

Amido has implemented further wellbeing initiatives this year which includes the creation of mental health advocates; to help raise awareness and encourage colleagues to support one another in their wellbeing. It’s reported that one in four adults’ experience at least one diagnosable mental health problem in any given year, and Amido believes that it’s essential to challenge the stigma around mental health and increase the understanding of its impact in the working environment.

In January this year, Amido was recognised by Great Place to Work as a centre of Excellence in Wellbeing, a fantastic achievement, demonstrating our commitment to creating the best environment we can for our people.
