Senior .NET Consultant

As a Senior .NET Consultant at Amido, you will be playing a key supportive role within your project from a hands-on technical and leadership perspective; resolving team challenges that might arise within a complex project and helping that client to realise the business benefit of an investment into the cloud.

About the role and what you'll be doing

You can expect to be supporting the Tech Lead on one of our client’s projects, being responsible for designing and architecting sub-systems, creating testable code in .NET Core and building cutting edge cloud native solutions with the support of your Amido colleagues and team.  

You will be working across the full project lifecycle closely with your Amido team members, understanding their business and client requirements, navigating through complex stakeholder relationships, and articulating solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as coaching and mentoring members of the project team.

We are a client-facing business, but we do encourage clients to allow us to work remotely for a majority of the time so if you are not required to be on client site, you can choose to work from home or in our Amido offices.

What you’ll bring to Amido

We are looking for passionate senior developers bringing the following skills and experience:

  • Developing in .NET Core  
  • Working with cloud technologies, such as AWS or Azure
  • Working with Microservice architecture  
  • Transferring business requirements to design and architecture sub-systems
  • Writing appropriate integration and end-end testing in a BDD style
  • Accountability for code and engineering quality  
  • Understanding of business and client requirements and articulating the purpose of a solution and explain why certain tools and frameworks were chosen to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Confidently resolving challenges on a complex project and being responsible for outcomes, code and engineering quality
  • Great communication skills in particular: presenting, collaborating and partnering with stakeholders
