Senior QA Consultant
About the role and what you'll be doing
You will be helping to create and define complex test strategies for client projects and helping to educate those clients on testing best practises. You will also be building automation frameworks from scratch and performing both functional and non-functional testing.
You will be working across the full project lifecycle closely with your Amido team members, understanding their business and client requirements, navigating through complex stakeholder relationships, and articulating solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as coaching and mentoring members of the project team.

We are a client-facing business, but we do encourage clients to allow us to work remotely for a majority of the time so if you are not required to be on client site, you can choose to work from home or in our Amido offices.
What you’ll bring to Amido
We are looking for passionate QA Engineers bringing the following skills and experience:
- Delivering production software using an Agile methodology
- Executing performance, regression, integration, system and configuration tests
- Creating automated frameworks in one technical stack from scratch including writing tests for web applications and RESTful API services in code
- Working on large sized projects with multiple teams collaborating together
- Articulating the advantages and disadvantages of different test frameworks were chosen to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Understanding that there are many ways we can test, and not one method fits all projects
- Passion sharing knowledge and foster a 'test first' mindset in your project team and within the organisation
- Great communication skills, in particular: presenting, collaborating and partnering with stakeholders
- Understands architectural concepts of the backend and frontend, DevOps and Data Engineering
- Confidently resolving challenges on a complex project and being responsible for outcomes and setting test quality standards, advising on sub-set of testing practices, defect management and reporting
